Default :: Quick LS-T Question (What size turbo for 220whp/quickest spool?)

Hi, I'm looking for some advice about turbocharging a stock B18B.

I know on stock internals 220whp is obtainable but I would like to know the pros/cons of a small turbo. (I heard heat was an issue with smaller turbos?) I am looking for the least amount of turbo lag that will still allow for 220whp. Thanks

a straight t3 50 trim would prolly spool the fastest and be good to about 260 whp
IMO i would go with a t3 turbo so that if you want to upgrade later then you will have many more choices

Hmm... I want to go with peak boost for all the equipment and would like a larger than average intercooler to alleviate any heating issues. Is the t3 50 trim a good turbo? I'm still fairly new to FI..

(What do you guys think about heat wrapping the IC piping? If it keeps heat in wouldn't it keep it out as well?)

You wont need a big FMIC for 220...

A nice T3 with an average intercooler and you will be golden

Is the t3 50 trim the smallest for my hp goals? And is the spool time really going to make that big of a difference? Will the power curve even comparable to that of an all motor car?
