I've been trying to look into this myself lately, I'm pretty sure you have to pull the motor to do it, and get a removal kit to go in it's place... But again, I have just started to read about it, so don't quote me on anything.

Yes, that's the kit, but getting the balance shafts out of the engine is another story if the engine is in the car.

 

oh okay, i also found a thread on the balance shaft removal it said the kit was 40$ but when i look up the company now that makes the kit it cost about 125 it sucks that the price went up sooo much
