I've been hearing alot of talk about tuned intake lenght's, I plan to do some testing on this theory when I hit the dyno with my in production engine build.

I am going to construct a few different intake's and then play with the lenght on the dyno. I know the people that have tested theese theories will not want to give out too much information, but I am lookin for sugegestions on where to start ? Does anybody have some input on a few different intake lenght's to start out with ?


Setup will be

2.0l B series, 89x84.
b20b block,posted sleeves, rsmachines itr style 84mm pistons.
b17a pr3 cylinder head.
3 angle valve job
supertech black nitride valves
portflow inner/itr ouuter spring combo
skunk2 stage 1 cam's.
edelbrock pro flo, 2.5" collector mod.
70-65mm tb (maxbore itr)
Ib spec ported ITR manifold.

Just looking for some input as to what region of lenght should I start out with when I hit the dyno.. Intake setup will be using a bpi flowstack and k/N filter and the intake must be located within the engine bay.


I'll appeciate any input.
