Default timing belt, how tight?

I've been hearing a rattle in the timing belt side of my h22 lately so I popped the valve cover to check the timing belt and I can push it around on the pulleys with my finger no prob. Is this normal or is my tensioner gone? belt is in good shape car has 66,000 miles good compression. Recently uninstalled my supercharger.

That is a loose belt. Check the tensioner. If I were you, I would replace the hydraulic tensioner with the mechanical one from an H23. It isn't very difficult and it is much more reliable.

Yep, I removed the timing belt middle cover and ran the engine and watched the belt when I revved the engine. When it started making noise the belt was flappin all over the place. Oh well the other reasons for that noise could be alot worse.
