Stechs are advertised at 1.7 front and 1.9 rear. When I installed them on my 97 coupe, the actual drop came out as 1.7 front and 1.7 rear. Measure your highest point on fender lip before and after to get actual drops.

S-Tech's on my 97 Hatch lowered about 1.7" and about 1.9" on my girlfriend's 98 Coupe.

I now have H&R Sports, and they ride a whole lot more aggressively, but still very smooth. They also dropped my hatch around 1.7"

I have used H&R's I only switched because now I am using SKunk2 Sleeves. The H&Rs give you one hell of a drop.

i dont want nothing to where id have to get a camber kit, at least yet. so i was thinking 2 inch frop or close enough is fine for me, its a daily driven civic with gsr, but will be boosted soon.. dont race but will be track driven soon.

ill just stick with stech's

I really suggest the H&R Sport over the S.Tech's after owning both. I drive my girlfriend's coupe with the S.Tech's and it's sloppy compared to mine.

Those are probably the OE Sports, the Sports are a 1.7" drop, and they're black.

i've had both set of springs and you'd get a better ride with the tein springs but not as low of a drop as with the H&R but, the were stiff as hell and you felt everything on the road but imo its a better buy the tein s. tech springs

Everyone who's saying the H&R's are lower than the S.Tech's .....

You're talking about H&R Race. They drop 2.5" They are stiff as expletive

The H&R Sports sit a wee bit higher than the S.Tech's, and still have a nice ride, but better handling.

if your lookin for a low comfortable drop that still handles amazing, i would go with NEUSPEED race springs

i've had first hand experiences with H&R and the Tein stechs and i feel they both have nothin on NEUSPEED, but thats just my opinion.

H&R's were just to bouncy for my liking and the NEUSPEED's are pretty much the same drop but without all the bouncing around

I Could be wrong.. but i believe the H&R springs are progressive and the S-techs are not.... about 90% sure tho without looking it up... i would look into it.. its always better to get progressive springs on a daily driver.

No, the S.Tech's are progressive, they just don't have as many inactive coils as the H&R Sport's.

Here's the rates for a 6th Gen Civic:

Tein S.Tech: 235F/140R (P/P) (~1.9")
H&R Sport: 330F/280R (P/P) (~1.7")

so let me get this then...

you have the h&r sports? which is almost the same drop as stechs? but better ride quality, then you have the H&R race which is a 2.5 drop?
