Any problems I should be weary of when installing 4.56 gear?

Default Any problems I should be weary of when installing 4.56 gear?

I don't really know what to expect with this...every one makes it sound like plug-n-play...

do i need to really worry about upgrading my housing.. and do i really need to rebuild my differencial? i just want to get all the knowledge about all teh things that could possibly go wrong when partaking on this project.

if you have no experience in shimming gears. i'd highly suggest you get some help before you end up spending more on repairs.

if you already have a pumpking that's assembled, you just basically take the old one out and put the new one in. it's pretty simple.

i have absolutly no experience, correct.

but i am not doing it....the guy who is was a top honda mechanic for 22 years of his life, and now all he does is buy hondas, rebulid them top to bottom, and sell them. he's doing this job for free for me, and has a retarded amount of experice with this...but an s2000 is obviously not a normal car he sees, so i am basically just being extra cautious.

make sure they shim them right

check out hardtopguy.com , he does diff installs and is supposed to be one of the best.

ahh 4.56 gears ...supposed to be the best of both worlds for bottom and top end ...so i heard and read ....
