Im surprised you are "buying a car tomorrow" and you don't even know which you want.

Not ONE of the aformentioned issues are unfixable either via warranty or yourself for VERY cheap.

bad tranny = BG syncroshift or GM syncromesh or Amsoil MTF

rattles = little ingenuity or dealer fix for free

Rev hang = 100% not an issue at all on my 07' si sedan built 2/07

alignment issues = never heard of such a thing

If you have to question the Si, then it wasn't meant for you.

If you can afford the SI, then there shouldn't be a decision to be made.

I used to own a 03 RSX type S and the tranny was really shitty on that thing I owned it for 3 years and it was at the dealership for about 3 months out of the 36. I can afford the Si but I don't know if I want to deal with a "bad tranny" again. Thanks for your input.

Almost every Honda Tranny I have used has grinded either 2nd or 3rd gear. Its not just isolated to the Si. I always use a Syncromesh type fluid in them and that always make the issue disappear. Any car that has DBW will have a rev hang. Arent the R18's DBW?

I bought my SI sedan about three weeks ago. I am extremely happy with it and have not had any iisues at all. I have added a new intake so far with more mods to come. I would not even consider another model!!!!

Some of the probs. you pointed out effect both cars..

If you want performance, and a sporty, fun drive, go si.

If you want an economical, average ride, go EX

Alright let me say this...

The tranny in the 03 RSX you owned and the 07 Si sedan you are considering are not the 'same' per say... they are close cousins. However the 03 RSX had brass syncros, whereas ours have carbon. Also some different gearing and other minor touches. The tranny issues are not really 'issues' at all. Just nitpicky people.

The rattles most people complained about are in our 06 coupes. Have not heard of ANY rattles in any 07 yet.

Get the Si, overall more fun, more power, more features, more potential.
