ok im not asking anyones opinion on whether or not this mod is worth it i want to get this done for peace of mind and having the ultimate block i just need the parts and the procedure for those who have actually done this thats is placing the gsr girle on the LS BLOCK

 

Never made a GSR girdle fit an LS but why not go with a five point ERL or Z10 girdle?

 

i have one on my turbo stroked ls motor take it to a respectable machine shop there is some tapping an threading evolved an it could cost the same as the z10 or any other girdle? are you planning on reving higher then 8000?

 

yes i am going to rev to about 8500 because of the turbo im using.....but is it as easy as you say threading and tapping and it just work no align hone and balancing i see everybody talking about

 

its your bottom end so i mean if you trust yourself go ahead i'm not goin to advice the shop or yourself an it does have to be aligned it wont match up perfectly at all....

 

If you must use the girdle, Get the Golden eagle one and take your block to the machine shop along w/ your LS main caps, main bolts and the girdle and tell them to align hone it for you.

 

Use gsr main caps along with the girdle and have the block align honed. That is the best way to do it.
