the thing is that if i were to use spacers i would need to extend the lugs and if i do that the wheel will hit the fender due to the reason that the car is dropped.
I shaved my calipers in order to make rims fit about a yr ago. The correct sized spacers weren't available so I just shaved material off. I took off around 1/8-3/16 of material and have had zero problems with them. Only thing I noticed was that the metal developed the surface cancer after the first rain so I just sprayed both calipers with high temp black paint.
Like I said ... I've had zero issues. No cracking ... no nothing.
Hope this helps.

You can run a 5mm spacer without having to extend the lugs.

We shaved 2mm of the mounting point of a prelude caliper to fit it on a civic race car, works fine, only other option is to run spacers between the hub and rotor
