Default Real type r head? date on head pics and searched. have few questions.

Ok so I know this have been covered and I checked it out some.
Came here for the advice of type r owners.

Date on head: Photo not showing but goes like this
-/2 + upside down 6/- + 1/4 + upside down 6/-
dashes mean nothing is there and +'s separate the 4 markings.

Looks like 02? which is impossible for a year make unless made after that and never on a production car. doesn't make sense but is not of earlier like in the 90's.
Head has been cleaned so no green paint to be seen.

He did send dual valve springs but the head was dissasembled when I picked it up. Ports look smoother than my b16 so thats a plus. Combustion chambers looked ok but what does a picture of a known type r head look like. Will try and post a pic of this one later.

So based on this info is this legit?
Any info please and hopefully no flaming just looking for some solid answers.
Thanks

Edit:
Pictures of the combustion bowl. Has ITR intake valves but that is easy to do.

Pics of #2 cylinder

Pics of #2 intake port

I see what you mean by the intake side being "touched up" and if that is all the porting difference over a B16 then might as well just portnpolish b16 head.
Combustion chamber looks like there are a few little "pits" here and there?

Ok so pics seem to be working now.

It also says 30 inbetween intake and exhaust on dizzy side so I know it is at least a newer head.

did you look to see if it had minor bowl porting underneith the valve seat? Did you look for the ITR intake valves?

I will get pics tonight for you guys. The valve seats look cut different so I think thats good.
Ports and bowl look good and clean. The combustion chamber looks close to the head surface but it has been a year since I looked at the bottom of my b16 head so not real sure.

What year based on the photo above do you think this is?

Based on everything I have ever read, that first photo shows what month, year and all production date info. that is one question. The rest should be cleared up when I get more photos after work.

Could be a head purchased from the dealership.

PR3 and P72 castings are still being made today.

If it is an ITR head, you will be able to tell from looking at the intake ports, from the valveseat to just beyond the guide will be a smoothing/blending.

I'm going to say that it is an '02. Granted, it never came in an actual car, but Honda still makes replacement Type R heads that you can buy brand new from Honda. I'm guessing that is what you have.

Ok just added some new pics as well.

I am on lunch break so to say.
This is reassuring. Anybody got the helms page of reassemblying this head with parts. If not I will use spec sheet from a B16.

I have everything. Isn't there some washers that go inbetween the rocker arms? I will do some searching on that.

Thanks everyone. I just didn't want to feel like I wasted money. Should just sell my 92 eg and my 94 db8 and buy a damn Type R.

I also bought a "type R " head it has a pr3-2
stamp on it an it came with the intake that has a stamp on it that says p73. When I took
it to the machine shop they told me it had up graded titanium springs and retainers it had a port job and no green stamp next to the distributor now I don't know what it really is. please help?
