It would probably be cheaper to buy another glass roof, but I don't see why any glass replacement shop could'nt make you a custom piece.......If it's less than $650 for a custom piece, then it might be worth buying vs. a JDM roof import(plus shipping).

Well i was working on my car earlier that day cuz im getting ready to do a wire tuck on my entire engine bay and i was just scoping out spots i was gonna drill the holes and where i was gonna relocated my fuse box when i closed the hood i guess it closed enough where the hook just went under the bridge it hooks on to enough to not get pulled up when i tugged on it, but wasnt all the way hooked on it enough for when i was going 80 and it slammed on against my windshield, luckily that didnt break but when it came up it bent in and hit the roof, the roof was already cracked from the first owner but it worstened when it hit and pretty muc hshattered lol, it didnt fall in on me but it flakes glass down so now i need a hood and roof, no body dmg luckily but i was getting ready to buy a DC Header and an exhaust (havent chosen which yet) but now i gotta fix my **** so i can drive it on the road again lol Ill check out a glass shop i just figured they wouldnt be able to but it would probly be easier ur right

I was thinking about buying a glass top for my rex. What stopped me was what would happen if it shattered or broke.

just take it to a glass shop and try to get glass...you already have the opening for it...may be easier...more convenient and cheaper...just have the glass they use shipped from Japan then true JDM

But seriously glass shop FTW

You can get a glasstop for 650-750. Then just remove the glass. I can't see getting custom curved glass any cheaper then that. If you do please take a picture!

I would ask around on all the CRX forums. There has to be a dozen of them.

the search continues for the glass... seems like the hood is gonna be a pain almost as much as the glass, anyone know ne sites to check out? for either the hood or the glass

You really need to start writing in sentences.

Anyways, I recommend a glass shop for a temporary replacement until you can wrangle up another JDM roof.

I have no idea how the glasstops mount, but couldn't you just replace it yourself with polycarbonate sheet? I think that would be the cheapest and quickest route for a custom curved piece of "glass" but it may require riveting on top of bonding with window weld urethane.

Just a thought.

If it were me I'd put in a sheet of Lexan, so you never have to worry about it shattering again...
