Default Short ram question

Hey everyone I have a question.....a friend of mine has a short ram intake he is willing to give me, but it's from his 97 Civic (d16y8) and we're not sure if it would fit mine, I've got the d16a6....if anyone knows yes or no for sure please let me know.

take his filter, buy the pipe off ebay for like 20 bucks, problem solved

I already have the aem v2 filter on there, I didn't think you could just fit any pipe, or I would get one and keep the v2 filter...

or jsu tbuy the whole thing off ebay, i have ebay piping

had a cold air but the but the pipe that goes down below the bumper fell off when i was driving so make sure the clamps are tight!


EDIT : buy it off of ebay there cheap and if you dont want the cold air just dont use the second section

Yeah I was thinking of just getting some cheap intake and running it down by the fender before it gets too hot, but I figured I'd take that guy's offer if he was giving it to me for free, if it would fit. I guess I could try...

Dude... if hes giving you the thing for free than just take it. If it fits it fits, if it doesnt then at least you didnt waste everyones time by posting a stupid thread... Ya know?

Well if you look at my engine bay pic, which is how I got the car...I jsut have the AEM filter coming off the TB

an EK short ram only has one bend making it end directly where the stock battery location is so im like 90% ure it wont fit if your battery is in the stock location.
