7 Year old Battery...need new one?
Yep my battery is now seven years old and still turning over but i am noticing the car is taking longer than usual. I know i need to buy a new one but what is a good battery that wont kill my wallet?
I have had good luck with batteries from Wal-Mart. This is from personal experience though. Not one battery has let me down other than from old age.

seriously, if that one lasted you 7 years you'd be smart to get another one! btw what do you have? haha might have to pick one up for myself.. =P

Its actually my stock battery!...Only prob is its from japan sooo I guess I can get one through Honda but it will cost an arm and leg. Everyone is amazed when I tell them I still have my stock battery and its a 2000 Lude! I have AEM pulleys too and I know they are supposed to use up battery life...Ive had them for 5 yrs HAHA.
So what brand do you reccomend? And what kinda money are we talking about? (as you can I have never had to buy a battery HAHA)

holy **** @ 7 years on a battery. whats wrong with it anyhow? is it the type that you maintain or is it the self maintaining type? (do you need to add water or not) Time doesn't really mean much to a battery. typically they say to replace them in only 3 years but thats not to say if its had an easy life then it couldn't last a decade.

The Wal-Mart batteries are high quality units made by Johnson Controls. In my experience they are far superior to the ones produced by Exide. I have never had one let me down.

Yea the Wal Mart batteries are super cheap but good. It's about the only reason I would ever go to a walmart, but they have cheap oil too.
Also the OEM honda batteries are awesome, mine is an 01 and it still starts like new.
