Hey guys bought a gsr tranny off ebay and the guy was kinda sketchy. it was shipped crappy, and of course the vin plate and everything are stripped off of it. So i need to know if this is really a gsr tranny or if i got screwed. The only marking i can find is YSK-2. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated.

I think you are right. My GSR tranny is an S80.

Thanks guys. what i am going to do is count the teeth on the first gear. Becuase the tag with the vin and that other white tag is gone on the tranny so i dont know if it says s80 or anything. The only marking is that which says YSK-2 but i know LS and GSR trans have this. but thanks for the info

 

how many teeth does a gsr is supose to have?

 

could you tell from the mainshaft by counting the teeths im having the same problems
