06 LX Tire sizing question
quick question:
i want to get some 225/45ZR16's for my LX, is 225 to wide?? or will they fit?? the car is not lowered.
also they are BF Goodrich KDW2 at a very good price so i'm hoping they will with without rubbing at all...is anyone else running a tire this size??
thanks in advance

KDW is as follows
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com....html
225/45/16 can fit on rims from 7-8.5 width as noted in the above link.
your oem tires are
Original Equipment 205/55-16 as per tirerack, i think with the 225/45 they will be too low profile and "chubby"

also keep in mind that even if it fits it could possibly affect your speedo'
google up Miata tire calculator.
Also check on Vulcantire.com maybe they have the KDW for your stock size
discounttire.com price matches as well.

As per miata tire calculator:
Old tire:
Sidewall: 4.4"
Radius: 12.4"
Diameter: 24.9"
Circumference: 78.2"
Revs/Mils: 811
New tire:
Sidewall: 4"
Radius: 12"
Diameter: 24"
Circumference: 75.3"
Revs/Mils: 841
spedo reading will be 3.6% too fast
when reading 60mph i will actually be going 57.8mph
would this cause problems do you think??

3.6% difference is minimal to some and astronomical to others
what is the deal your getting on the tires?
