Tire Question, need a FAST respone PLZ!!
k, i'm just wondering, if there is any difference between 205/40 R17
and 205/40/17 does the R mean anything and will a 205/40/17 fit on a rim that has a 205/40/R17 on it now?

The R means that its a radial tire. And yes they will fit no problem. All you need to worry about are the #s

I believe the R just means the tire is an R compound tire, which means its alot more stickier and has better grip... but you should be able to fit them on fine

Sweet jesus. The R stands for "Radial." The speed rating will come after the tire size. For example p205/40/r17 87H <- The H is the speed rating. It usually has an alphabetic denomination.
