Default Code p0441... What could it be?

Ok, I searched all i could about this subject and nothing helped me out. I have a 97 civic LX with a b18b1.

I checked the evap purge solenoid and it works fine. i am not sure why i am getting a CEL randomly, sometimes it will be a few tanks of gas before it will come back on. I am only getting 230 miles untill the gas light comes on.

I did a tune up (spark plugs, dizzy rotor and cap, oil and filter and air filter)

<FONT SIZE="2">what could be the problem</FONT>

this is what i tested and It looks sorta like this and is ontop of the intake manifold and it works fine...

make sure it stops/allows flow when it should. it could also be a bad line, bad canister etc. Check for leaks, check for clogs.

I had the same code and coulndn't figure out what it was until i realized that my PCM had no control over the purge solenoid. The solenoid was always good but the wire from the PCM was shorted. Instead of removing the dash to find the short, I ran a fresh wire form the PCM to the solenoid and the problem was fixed. Before the fix, on a scanner the car showed 0% purge flow and after the fix it has the correct purge flow. Check the leads to the solenoid, one lead should have 12 volts when the ignition is on. The other lead is from the PCM and provides the ground when commanded from the PCM.
