Default Honda Engines in the rear???

OK i have seen a couple people putting honda engines in the rear of cars and making them rear wheel drive. I know how the honda transmission work, stablizer bar then the rod that actually shifts the transmission.

so when these guys put the engine in the rear how do they get the transmission to work? i cant figure it out for anything.i thought i figured it out but it didnt work out.

can someone help me out cause this is screwin up my head.

the easiest way is to use a h series motor and trans since they have cable shifters.

anyways the reason i ask, is that i was looking at the original atom and i cant figure out how the b-series is working in the back

It's done by fabricating up some sort of bell-crank.

If it was a B-Series, which turns counter clockwise, it would not work. You'd have 5 reverse gears, hence they used the K-Series which goes the other way, plus its cable so its possible to mount a custom bracket and make it work.

im just saying its a lot harder to make work than a K because of the shifting done with rods.
