Default help with my integra console

First of all this pic is not of my car.

I put a integra console in my '88 HB and it looks great except for one thing. Notice the screws that I circled in red. That part hangs down a little bit in my car. I don't want to screw it in like this pic shows unless I have to. Is there a way to keep it up without screwing it in like this. It just looks kind of tacky with the screws showing. Thanks for any help.

ya mine hangs low aswell.. but nothing noticable. is there anyway of screwing it from inside the ashtray part? probably too tight for that.you could always use some glue or silicone.

I screwed mine in on the sides similiar to stock just drilled thru the metal frame and anchored it with a screw there. it fits snug. i can post pictures later today once i make it home if you want

yes, i scewed that area from the back side. I used a little peice of plastic to connect the two peices, its like 1 inch long with holes to line up with the screw locations on both peices. mine does'nt sag and theres no visible screws on the front. hard to explain without photos, but if you have it out of tha car it will be clearer. good luck

just try putting silicone behind the piece.. let it sit for a day or maybe just a few hours to let it dry and put it back into your car.. you'll have to take the whole thing out though..
