Default 12:1.1 compression with 91 octane gas?

I just want to know if it's safe to use premium gas with high compression. I'm building an H23 Vtec, I probably won't change the rods cuz they say the stock ones can handle up to 300HP, type s pistons, with the block, compression should go up to 12:1 ??, but is it safe using premium gas? Over here where I live I think the highest they sell is 91 or 92 octane. I'm using the stock camshaft from an H22 type s. I don't know if it's gonna make a difference. Is there anything else I need to know before I do this setup? or before I blow the damn thing?

ask your local tuner because you will need a dyno tune

What if I just raise compression by 11:1.1 by adding some 10:1.1 pistons, is it safe to use premium gas with this set up? Will I get the same results if I just shave the head .20 What option is better?I need to start this project fast so a few comments will help.

JDM pistons will raise compression to 12:1.0 according to my setup: H22a4 head, type s cams, stock valvetrain, H23 block. I want to run my car with no worries, what do you think about what I posted earlier?

jdm as in type s ?? I thought those were 11:1. And the jdm h22 were 10.??:1 slightly higher than the usdm. Im sure its in fax. Just would like you to clarify. Or are you saying with the longer stroke or rods with the h23 crank ???

base model JDM

usdm = 10:1
jdm = 10.6:1
Type S = 11:1
