Ran fine last night, go to start this morn just cranks.

Checked grounds, ok
Hear fuel prime, ok
has gas, ok

Pulled wires from dizzy to plugs, and put back in the SAME exact hole, nothing.

JUst cranks...


NOW if it is the dizzy? I live on a hill, so can I roll start it down? I dont wanna even try if it wont work, cause no truck home yet to pull back up the hill...?

 

no don't roll it down the hill its not going to start. Check for spark.... pull a spark plug out plug the wire back on to it hold plug to ground have a friend crank the car over look for spark if no prob bad coil.

 

No Spark, is there ANY way to get this dizzy to work? even if just for today...?

get a new one. sadly these things break at the worst times

So would I need to replace the whole dizzy, or can i get by doing just ignition coil?

 

you can buy just the coil and install it which is cheaper but i bought a whole new dizzy.

i bought mine in ebay new, way cheaper than a used one in the junkyard here.

 

any complaints about the ebay dizzy?

 

i got it from a reputable ebay guy that sells only distridutor, i think his name was distributor king. no i haven't had any problems with it for two years now and i drove from cali to illinois and illinois to canada and back. so its all good.
