car won't start, need assist
OK my car just sat for like 3 weeks.
tried to start it up today, but got nowhere!
Car has power,
I can hear the fuel pump prime when I turn the key,
starter turns, but engine just doesn't start up.
when it tries to start, it just sounds like it's whining, not a "chug chug" as you might get often. Just sounds like theres no compression goin on at all.
checked all my fuses, all are ok.
must not be getting fuel or spark or somethin..
but i'm nut sure how to narrow down what it is exactly (haven't been wrenching in ages).
anyways, took the train to work today,
so any tips are much appreciated

Test for a spark
Take out your plug wire one by one and put the end that the spark plug connects to near a ground wire while someone cranks the car. If a spark jumps from the wire to the ground then that cylinder is getting spark. If all the wires spark then your dizzy and wires should be ok . After that check to make sure your plugs are good.
Also what engine, ecu and mods do you have?

it's a jdm d15b vtec,
modded p05 ecu (running vtec p08 program)
just intake basically for mods.
I guess I can try another ecu, see if that's the problem as well. But it's odd because the thing ran fine before I parked it..

update
ok,
so it looks like i'm getting spark and fuel
held the wires up to a ground while it cranked and saw little sparks coming through.
plugs looked ok,
they had wet gasoline on them(which is why i say i'm getting fuel)
cap/rotor also looks ok.
checked tps. it's giving out proper voltage.
swapped the fuel relay with another one: no change at all.
tried a different ecu: same result.
at a loss as to what else to try.
cam timing couldn't change while a car sat on its ***.
My only speculation is that i've had some problems with my heater/coolingfan fuse blowing out. Which I thought was caused by some frayed wiring harness due to a shitty tuck job (too near to the tire).
But I don't seem to see any blown fuses anywhere.
Any advice is much appreciated.
