Default What would be better than the R for $35K?

Guys I need your help. As most of you know my ITR was stolen 2 months ago and I don't have anything right know. I'm looking to spend at the most $35K. What do you guys have in mind for that price range? Preferably a new car. I am having a hard time deciding on what would put a smile on my face but still be more powerful than the R.

Thanks guys

Along the same lines...

If you're looking for a car to work on... How about a late 90's 318ti? Swap in a I6 (maybe even a 321 hp eurospec M3 motor). Wow. Hatchback versatility (w/ room for 4), RWD and imo, much better looking that the M Coupe, for much less than $35k

When my R was stolen, I *almost* bought a Certified Pre-Owned E36 M3 w/ 20k miles on it.

For new cars, I personally would at least test drive the new Z, an S2000, and the new Mustang Cobra.

I like the Cobra idea - those cars are going to rock nads.

But I really think you need a black 2000 Type R. I happen to know of one for sale - clear title!

Used Z06. A beast from the get go and a ton of good, cheap aftermarket.

I got to drive my friend's S2K and I it! I would definitely go for one of those, although having a 2nd car w/ more cargo room might be a good idea if you did get one of those.

You could wait for the Evo VII. Road & Track just did a handling test between a bunch of cars and it did very good finishing fourth. It got beat by a Lotus, Ferrari and some other high priced car... It was Euro model though so the wait might not be worth what comes out....

For $35k, I still stick to a used NSX. It won't be as fast as the Cobra or Z06, but both of those cars can't touch the workmanship and exotic feel of the NSX. As for E36/46 M3, good luck with maintenance and repair bills. WRX is just plain ugly. EVO VII is another good "alternative" but it's just too plain of a car.

Answer me this, when was the last time you see a NSX parked next to a S2k and you drool over the S2K and not the NSX? NSX is just simply badass no matter how you look at it. I say if you can find a used 97 NSX, that will be a very good choice.
