It seems like every Si owner I encounter waves, gives thumbs up, or even pulls over to chat. I've had a 50 year old guy stop where I was parked and ask about my Works ... we ended up standing around for about an hour talking about the Si..... all the Si owners I see are always stoked to see another FG2, which, IMO is pretty cool.
I roll with my bro in his S2k and MOST of the other S2000 owners we see glare or look away and RARLEY wave/give props....

Not to mention the random people I've encountered at stop lights who smile, wave and get all giddy just seeing the car.

That used to happen alot to me when I had my 300zx. Doesn't happen so much with the SI (getting a wave/being stopped by other SI owners)...I mostly get randoms complementing the looks of the car.

 

I had it happen wtih an older couple in a habanero

i never really respond back but they were old lol

 

I don't know, I was looking all day for a good car place yesterday and I couldn't find one. Then I go to this place to get some food(drive-thru) and the guy starts talking to me and turns out he used to have an Si and he is the owner of the diner. He then directed me to a local place that sells all their car parts at wholesale prices, which I'm going to head out to take a look at right now

the first Si i saw...i was driving normally and he starts tailing me...he then quickly changed lanes and down shifted like he wanted to race me...i dont know if that is friendly but i didnt mind

i love my si and proud to own one

i've had that same experience, like 4-5 times. Usually happens late at night when i'm on my way home from the GF's house...i've raced 1 blue, 1 red, 1 white (with intake) and 1 white sedan. Beat every one of them. All were stock except for the white with intake. I really don't think i'm a better driver than all of them... i think i got lucky with a quick Si!

Other than Si owners that want to race, i always seem to get beeps or headlight flashes from other owners...a few times i've had people ask me about the car when i'm getting gas. A lot of people seem to love the new Civics...

I was playing around with a black R18 with red racing stripes the other night. Turns out it was two hot chicks in the car, and the womens sure do love the FBP.

 

Everyone show some "FA,G" love on the streets! lol I get that with modded Z's haven't seen any of you foolios out there yet. Thumbs up if you rep Socal.

naw man chicks love NHBP. i get compliments all the time. but yeah i do the same thing with Si owners...i can chat all day long.

 

Two days ago I had a police officer pull up beside me and give me a thumbs up from his cruiser. Kinda caught me off guard so I just smiled and waved back.

Another person took the time to shout "Si......nice" doing 70mph on the highway on my way to school.

But it seems to me that down here nobody ever wants to race this car. Don't know about you all, but all the minor modified base model civics, integras, older GTi models, and older Sis won't even try when my previous car was a race magnet. Maybe people respect this car after all.

 

I have had a several people comment on my car. Last week some guy came by to talk to me about buying my RV, saw my SI in the garage and completely forgot about the RV.

Then, on Monday, I pulled into the supermarket for some groceries and a guy in a Taffy White SI sedan pulls up next to me. He checks out my car and gives me a thumbs up. Then I checked out his car and noticed he had spinners on it. I pulled out and drove off laughing my head off.

SI with spinners is a crime. Personally, I think it should be a jailable offense.

 

Several people look at the car and then look at the emblems to see what kind of car it is. I took the civic off yesterday but left the Si.

 

I always look at other SIs i see and try to cruise with them. Haven't had anyone ignore me really. I think you get more stuck up S2K owners because the S2k is realistically a stuck up kinda car... its a 2 seat roadster priced over 30g. Thats more the spoiled teen or old person who couldnt afford the vette and is cranky for it domain.

I love S2000s myself though. Wouldn't mind owning one at all.

 

I like the scion look, are they supposed to be the acura integra replacement in the market?

Yea I've noticed the same thing... I've raced ONE car since I picked my si up and that was a LS teg w/ I/H/E... other then that i dont get any play.

Same here, I have had the car a year and I have raced one maybe two cars. I cant count how many complainants of got in the SI every 1 loves the looks with the hfp kit etc i am aways looking for fellow FG2 owners i get so excited when i see 1 some times i will follow them if i am headed that way.

I get that all the time. People always trying to race me. Lifted trucks and all. People wave and give me props all the time.

 

So it was like 3AM in Buena Park (on 9th and Western, yeah) and a friend and I were just chillin' at a park. Police drop by as usual, and ask "Hey, don't you guys have somewhere to be?" and we responded "We didn't want to keep anyone up" and he stopped to check out my FA5. He was all into it and was like interested in the Si sedan. A partner of his comes up and they were talking to me about his partner's RSX-S and that he was thinking of trading it in for the Si sedan for practicality.. I think Si owners (or prospects for that matter) all everywhere and are the best people of all!~
