Default Oil is dark not sludge

I bought this motor from H-motorsonline. When I got it it sat for almost 2 years because of lack of interest in the project. I've been driving it for about 9 months now, doing regular oil changes, and I even tried an engine flush. The motor runs great but why won't the oil clean up? I can start it after the change and then check it after pressure and it is already dark. I'm running mobil1 5w30. I just can't figure it out. Here are some pictures.

Okay so I checked it out and i've decided that maybe i've got a excess fuel problem. Sometimes I smell fuel, but more of an exhaust fuel smell. I'm not sure but the same smell was there with the old motor. I don't think it is the rings because I did a compression test a couple of months ago and got 150 all the was across the cylinders. I am using a D16z6 AEM adj cam gear but it is set at zero. FPR is at 36 or so before vac. and I've got new seals on the injectors. The oil does seem a little thin but I just thought that was how a 5w30 looked. Also my distributor is pushed all the way towards the firewall, but that is where it was when I recieved the motor.

I do drive it pretty hard. But no matter how I drive it I can't get more than 20mpg. What do you mean by heavier weight? Like oil weight? It never gets hot just operating temp.

I don't have anything to measure my oil temp, just coolant temp. but that stays normal. Will oil temp rise without coolant temp rising? I don't have an AF gauge either. Maybe I should invest huh?

Dont worry it should be fine just keep changing it frequently and come back if it continues... dark oil is not as bad as sludge

After you get a read on the oil dip stick, try and light it onfire. If it starts on fire then you have gasoline in your oil. Warm up your car and lip some oil drip onto your headers, if it bubbles up then you have water in your oil.

Dark oil and 20 mpg tells me that your fuel and oil are getting mixed together somehow.

I thought 150psi was about normal. Maybe i'm wrong. Guess i'll just wait and see

Maybe that was cold. I don't remember if I did it hot or not. I'm thinking not.

Im going to guess it's the shitty B&M FPR on your fuel rail. 150 is low but not that bad

150 isn't all that bad if they are all pretty much the same number.

What is wrong with the B&M FPR? It does it's job. Like I said I think that was cold on the compression test but i'll ask the person that helped me if he remembers me warming my car up.

Accually they dont do it verry well, they are know to fail and be inconsistent. use a stock one and everything will be ok.

when you did your compression test did you open the throttel all the way wile cranking the engine? i think leaving it closed makes the results lower then they should be.

Nope I sure didn't open the throttle at all! The guy that helped me thinks that the motor was warm but he can't remember either. Maybe I will do it again. Does it matter it the TB is wide open?

do a normal compression test , like take the fuses out for ecu and ign. but wile your cranking the motor just step on the gas

i bet the gas is getting by the rings. my d15b2 will look like that .. but after like 50km's lol.. and i burn alot but dont know how because i dont see clouds of blue smoke when i drive..
