Knockoff without the knockoff discount!

Edit: Makes good power, guess its not an exact copy!

I guess since it is a big tube 4-2-1, that would mean it is a knock-off? So is every SMS, DTR/SSR, Rage, RMF a knock-off of the original HyTech also?

I measured my Comptech Race header versus a first generation HyTech, and the Comptech primaries were ~1.75" shorter at the merge, and secondaries were ~1.75longer measured from merge - collector.

As far as the header on a 1.8L, it is one of the best. I gained 13whp midrange over a DC JDM 4-1, and 8 peak.

It is a little choked on my 2.0L now, but still breathes well.

Wow, nice numbers! Did you make that stock motor? What does a Comptech RH go for used/new?

Yes, that was with stock '97 motor. Only performance mods at the time were Comptech Race Header, T1R resonated testpipe and T1R 65mm catback. Tuned on Crome. Runs were done on the same day on a dynojet.

Since Comptech is no longer in business, you can only find them used. New, they were $950.

I've considered selling mine, offer me a reasonable price and I'll let it go.

Comptech race header makes very good power, however keep in mind it hangs LOW AS HELL, unless theyve revised it since Commanda had his (Expo 4 days)
