Default wideband good for NA

Just wondering if a wideband is a wise investment for a NA setup? I mostly see them in boosted applications so i was just curiouse, it seems like it would be a worth while purchase

If you know what you're looking at, yes. I'd recommend an Innovate LC-1 w/ the gauge. I've had 3 of the AEM widebands crap out on me.

I would imagine there is a lot of truth to that

LC-1 with XD-16 here works very good.

the Innovate, AEM and PLX setups work very well.

I have a PLX-M300 and I've no issues at all. I run it full time on N/A setup.
It's manditory if you're going to tune, all though not really worth it if you're not going to tune.

Absolutely, an Innovate LM-1 with an LMA-3 is your ticket. I imporved my set up significantly, and is cost effective. I am a dealer, and also local to you. PM me for details, and I'll get you excellent prices.

there is no good way to tune without a wideband.

Please don't confuse what I said to mean that if you have your car tuned you have to have a wideband in there all the time... you can have the car tuned with a wideband and drop back to your normal narrowband after.

I was using the PLX-R500 and i had issues with their display screen going blank when the display gets hot. It happened on my friends car too. Over here weather is hot and when run them in race car without aircond it goes blank out in a short while.

Thinking of buying another cheaper wideband. Anyone had the PLX M-300 with ZERO problems???

Thinking of these M-300 cause it has a bigger number in very visible red and price i believe just below $300??

Yes. M-300 has short wires which limits to mounting location. Hard to find a mounting location as unit is bulky. Pretty damn accurate. Having issues with crome pro datalogging the a/f ratios as it seems plx is not accepted very well.

Otherwise I do like my plx m300 because it has helped me through the process but if I could I would most likely get something different.

M300 here, had it over a year, zero problems. I also use basically the M250 setup, I picked up the gauge seperatly and connected it to the output.
IMO the M300's display is pointless, when you're tuning the numbers jump around so much that you can't really follow it anyway. the gauge has the digital display in the center and the analog LEDs around the outside that make it easier to see sudden spikes.
If you're datalogging, once you get the offset(if there is any) you really don't care what the display says anyway.

what problems are you having with the M300 and Crome? That's what I use and I've never had any problems. (JSLX Devices for O2 setting)
