radiator on a 95 gsr
ok, i recently bought a 95 gsr with 154k miles and i am planning on putting new radiator hoses, higher presser cap, and of course new coolant in it. just curios if i should go ahead and replace the radiator as well. on my old civic i know i had overheating problems and just went ahead and replaced the radiator and the hoses, i didn't do much troubleshooting but i replaced what i thought was the obvious problem. that car was about 150k miles. i also have an integra ls previously owned by a friend and he had overheating problems as well and he replaced the radiator and hoses. i'm just curious to know if the honda radiators just tend to poop out after so many years/miles or what. cuz i dun wanna replace everything but the actual radiator and then that end up being a problem a few months down the road.
i wouldn't replace anything unless it's necassary. I had my DA for 6-7 years and never had a problem with the radiator, if i had a cooling problem i'd check the thermostat first.
