MAP sensor problems...need help
Getting a code 3 (electrical prob w/ MAP). I bought a 2.5 bar Motorola from Xenocron and wired it up just as required and also double check my HONDA CRX service manual to make sure the wire colors matched w/ Xenocron's directions. The car will start but stalls right away. I do not get any CEL's, at least not now because I pulled the fuse to reset it. But after I try and start the car again, it will not throw a code with the new MAP. BTW my car is a '90 CRX HF turboed.
Just a thought: Does the 2.5 Bar have a different output range than the 1.0 OEM or does it use the same output range with finer increments? Either way, is your EMS scaling for the 2.5?
Another thought: I was thinking of Defiance the other day when I was recapping places I ran track growing up, what are the odds?

no program yet. Now that you mention it, I do recall him saying that when I get my chipped ECU and tune it I will be able to scale the MAP. I think that my be my problem. Does that sound correct?? I guess for now I will have to still run my stock MAP and keep my foot off the pedal so I dont throw anymore code 3's until I get the rest of my parts, OBD0 Chipped ECU

1.0 what (range), are you talking about the voltage input? Because that should be 5V.

Even at 1.0 bar, my turbo is set at no more than 6psi, so my OEM MAP should have no problem with boost. I bought the new MAP because I have been getting horrible fuel mileage. and it has been like this even before I put the turbo on.
As far as I know, the 2.5 bar map has different outputs for different vacuum points than the stock 1.7 map...You will most likely need to have your ecu chipped and run turbo edit and set your map as a 2.5bar...And the reason your throwing a code on your computer is because your factory computer settings wont read boost no matter what, it just doesn't recognize it...so you either will have to run a chipped ecu or check valves (please don't)

Thanks,
Has anyone had good experiences with Xenocron, they sound like they are very knowledgable and are willing to help out anyone, even the newbies like myself.
