Well my shifter was working fine up until last week when i was driving home and its started acting wierd. It will go into every gear, but all the gears are alot higher. For example first is almost 2 inches higher than normal and etc... Also when i shift into any gear the shifter jerks back a little and shakes around, with each jerk of the motor and it is very noticable. I checked the shift linkage and it is tight i have no idea what it could be .. the rear mount is also fine so i am just wondering if anyone can gimme any ideas on what it could be >>? Thanks ....

 

I'd say you're engine mounts are done. Also, look into the energy suspension shifter bushing kit.

 

...thanks man .... i got motor mount inserts would they help for the time being with a new trans mount which i have laying around just till i can get a feww hundred bucs for mounts

 

Which motor mount inserts did you get..Prothane or Energy Suspension?..I had a snapped Rear mount and to "fix" it I stuffed it with Prothane inserts. Apparently you can't use an Energy suspension insert to "fix" a snapped mount because they're not as hard as the Prothane.
