New to the engine swap here so sorry for the questions. I just bought an 89 crx SI it already has a b16 engine swap done on it. Well in my great state of residency (Alaska) the problem is I have to IM it. Well in order to IM it I have to have the engine referenced and all. The tech told me that the ecu is no good for the car. So now I have to figure out what ecu to get and how in the world to get it all connected without jacking up the wiring. If anyone has some info I would appreciate it. If it helps I was told the engine that was put in is a 94.

 

What ECU does it currently have?

 

well i was told that it is a 91 jdm ecu i believe it is a pr3 but not sure. This was all referenced and have not had a chance to check it out yet.

 

You probably should find out for sure and post that info up. Nobody can really help you with only the information you've already given.

 

grab a 10mm socket and sit on the passenger side pull off the panel take the ecu out unplug it and read the sticker with the barcode. somewhere near the middle should be a pm6, pr3 etc
