How do you adjust perch on Bilstein's (How do you move the Circlip)
I never have figured this one out. Is there a special way to move the metal Circlip out of its grove in the strut to the lower groove. Hopefully someone has done this before on here. Since I'm running stock springs again, I was hoping to mount them on the lower perch.
It's been 3-4 years since I saw the Bilstein arrangement on my old, old, car.
My "builder/mechanic" at the time simply asked me to get the GC sleeve arrangement and appropriate springs.
However, it seems there's just a partial "circlip" that fits into one of 2-3 rings in the shock body, that is then covered by the lower spring perch.

Cool. I'll have to see if I can get that to work. Didn't have to worry about it when I was running Ground Controls. Now that I have stock springs back on, the rear end of my car looks a bit too high. Its about 0.5 inches higher than the front (measuring center of wheel to wheel well edge) I thought for some reason, factory spec was more like 1/8th inch higher in the back, which I will have if I move the rears down one perch (10mm)

That's how I did it.
FYI, with stock springs and camber and the circlips of all four corners in the lower grooves, the fender gap's a little taller in the front than in the rear. Occasionally, from a particular angle, it looks like there's too much crap in the trunk. It doesn't bother me enough to pull the rears and try the upper groove; just looks a little odd sometimes.
