THEY NEVER DID. WHEN I TURN THE SWITCH ON... NOTHING HAPPENS... JUST MY TAILIGHTS LIGHT UP. I bought the car last year and didnt think much of it until like a few months ago. i checked the fuses. and nothing. they work when they are used as turn signals but they dont turn on as corner lamps... anything i should or could look for?

 

It's possible that the original owner has them wired to function like the JDM corner lamps, which would act the way you're describing. Check the bulb holders and the corner lamp wiring to see if any wires have been cut or removed.
