Default 5g trailing arms on a 6g civic

ok,heres the deal,i put a set of 5g or teg controlarms(for a rear disc conversion)on a 6g ex,but the rims rub waaaaaay bad on the fenderlip,so i got them rolled ,not as bad,but still rubbing somewhat,so the question is,is there any difference between 5gs to 6g c-arms????anyone??????fyi,it had the same rim/tire combo ,same riding hite and was also aligned..thanks to anyone who has any ideas!!!!
