turbo question

Default turbo question

I was woundering if its posible to turbo my 2000 SH with 100K on it with low boost. just want to know if its posible? or should i just rebuild then turbo?

I suggest rebuilding, then turbo just to be on the safe side. If you could afford it, sleeve your block and run forged pistons so you can handle more boost.

Maybe? If you have a good tune....why would 100K make it not able handle boost compared to a new engine? Your ATTS is a major crutch anyway.

What can i do about that? Ive heard it wouldnt work over HP but hows that?

You can swap in a non-ATTS H22. As I understand it the little clutches inside can't handle more than 250hp or so...somebody correct me if I'm wrong....

so its not worth turboing an sh then. would it be better to go N/A with an sh?

Just make sure you have a healthy motor, then go for it. I have had my SH boosted for 2 years 10-psi 8k rpm everyday with no issues. you have to disconect the atts computer anyways when you use engine management so its pretty much just sitting there and doesnt do anything.
