Accord (1998-2002): How to install rear speakers?
I have a 99 Accord and I want to replace the stock rear speakers. I was told by an installer that they'd have to remove the back seat, the rear interior side panels and the rear deck to get at the speakers. Is this correct? What's the easiest way to replace the rear speakers?
thanks,
thanks,
it's been a while since i did mine but from what i remember, you unscrew the speaker covers from below (inside the trunk), and take that off, and undo the speaker itself from the top (inside the car) , it should be 8 or 10mm socket for the speaker itself, and a philips for the screws below

Sounds like the installer was trying to pursuade you into paying something like $50/hour to have them install them when if fact, you could install them in 20 minutes yourself for free.
Pop the speaker covers off, unscrew the speakers, mount the new ones, cut the speaker wire, add terminals, and plug the speaker wire & new terminals onto the new speakers.
/done.
