Default ecu reset or fix itself

i have a rr 07 si and have been noticeing my gas mileage has been decreasing within the last 3 weeks.. since i live in p.a. i usually go to jersy( 5 min away ) to fill my tank once a week because it is usually 15 cents cheeper per gallon .. the law in jersey is that they have to pump the gas for you .. well i think that the idiot put 87 octain in my tank insted of 91 .so im wondering if i can reset the ecu or will it compensate for the gas and than start to fix itself as time gose by??? thanks

I believe the ECU is adaptive. So it should adjust timing/air etc for it to run ok. I wouldnt redline it etc. Just run the tank out.

Also LOL at your sig. Turbo V-tech

You're saving 15 cents/gal but are you paying toll?

The ECU is adaptable, but when I purchased my car they strongly recommended to put nothing in this car below 91. However, I have this happen to someone else and they didn't have any issues. Just make sure they get it right going forward.

When i was living down in orange county for my job I would frequently cross the jersey border for gas. No toll, you just drive over the line.

I just did something like this. Went on a road trip in the work truck, which only needs cheapo gas...got home, needed to fill the Si and absentmindedly put cheapo gas in it. D'oh
