got myself in a rock shower today on the freeway. dayam truck hit a bumo and all the rock came flying at me. now my front bumper,hood, and fender is all messed up with little rock chips. should i go repaint the whole front and will they make it look like new? how much you guys think it'll cost?

 

How long do you plan on keeping the car? I'd hold off until you do something insurance-worthy. Paint ain't cheap.

 

sounds insurance worthy to me, statefarm bought me a new paint job for my front end in the past. ($1700 worth of work, came out looking mint)

 

i plan on keeping thje car for a long time. my sides door and rear panels are chipped too. can they make it look mint again and can you tell its been painted?

 

If something like this happened and you know it's the truck in front of you, can you ask the truck driver to pay for it?

how much did it cost....? also if i claim with my insurance can i go to any bodyshop i want or do i have to go to the one they send/recommend me to go to?

Good thing CHP actually does their job sometimes and pulls them over for not having the rear covered.

 

5 dollars for a bottle of touch up paint from the dealer and patience.

 

Did you get the guys plate? Report it and make his insurance cover it. Get a high estimate, and get quality work done. If done right it will look new.
