as to why I'm slow, or might not be there at all. Just got back from the E.R. On my right hand (shifter hand) middle finger, Broken, Both tendons cut, 16+ stiches, and I see a hand surgeon/specialist in the AM. After that I'll know if I can be there. I just drove my Audi (stick) and should be ok if I remove the Radio and pocket in the ITR for extra forward clearance..............It happened while I was moving a vehicle at work, pushing by the tire/wheel and there was min. clearance between the caliper and the spokes on the wheel, 4400pds of rolling inertia

Thanks guys, I'm going to take a shifter to the surgeon so if it can't be fixed I'll have him just permanently put it in "grabing the shifter" position

Damn... Injuries like that are scary
Friend of mine (brother's ex-girlfriend's brother) got "gloved" at the textiles plant he worked summers at. Basically got the skin of his entire hand ripped off. Big shame - he was a scratch golfer at the time
Last I heard, he's back to a 2-3 handicap
Best of luck in your recovery
[edit] Re: GK - hey! we may be lushes, but we're lucky/careful lushes
edit2 - I can only say that after almost losing a chunk of skull from a swinging Volvo tailgate - jack slipped, tailgate closed hard enough to bite through half a Haynes manual. Good thing I was crouching at the time

Thanks again. fortunatly its only the last inch of the middle finger and small damage on the pointer. Radio should be removed for clearance on the 1-3-5 shifts. I plan on still driving as long as the doctor o.ks it.

I cut thru a tendon in my finger once in a fight. The surgeon had to cut down the finger to retrieve to tendon then sew it back together. What a pain in the ***. Good Luck

I am clear to drive as long as I don't take the pain medicine..So I will be at the EXPO on Monday for sure. DRIVING. Sugery is scheduled for tues PM now. Updated, repair possible nerve damage, and I get two pins in the middle finger.
I might need a hand (no pun intended) in the pits with morning vehicle prep.
Thanks again for the support
