Default Sounds like Marbles in engine?!?!

Ok when ever my car is at idle or sometimes even low revs I get this weird rattling sound coming from the engine. Latley it kinda sounds like marbles or something tapping. In the beginning I thought it was the timing belt vibration that everyone got from a bad auto tensioner...so I replaced tensioner, belt and water pump (It was also time to do so) and the noise hasnt gone away. Now when I first heard the noise I thought it might be even valve chatter or a bent valve, but someone told me I would have power loss from a bent valve. The car seems to run fine and no power loss that I can tell unless you count the bogging i get sometimes but I think thats from the CAI, Header, Exhaust and an un-tuned ECU. Anyone have an Idea or a similar problem?
Ill try to record the sound....If I can.

WOW! mine is not that bad as that vid...mine kinda comes and goes. Its also not really loud like that...its kinda more subtle, if that makes sense?? Mind is more of a loud valve tap and seems to do it as the engine idles down...which is why i thought it was timing belt. Maybe it is bad again!?
Thanx for posting that vid at least I can narrow it down by saying it def is not that bad.

check valve clearance. loose valve clearance can cause a tapping noise.

or as 98vtec said...could very be knocking. i was once told knocking sounds like a spray paint can being shaken around.

In other words it's a rod knock, I'd get it fixed.
Good luck.

You've got marble knock. Drop your oil pan, empty out the marbles. Replace oil pan. You'll be fine. Remember to use plenty of Honda Bond!

HAHa Ok.
Well im thinking its def the knocking sound that 98vtec said. It does sound like a paint can being shaken up but not that loud...its very subtle. So Knocking is caused by what?...bad gas? bad plugs. Knocking is the same as misfire right.
Final question how the hell do i fix this!?!?

knock can be a few things. Detonation is only one. lol. Rod knock is caused by a bearing messing up or you spinning a bearing.

do a compression test and/or leakdown test to see what is going on.

that would help you find out if the valves are ok but for the rod knock you better dissassemble and take a look
good luck

If you can afford it you should invest in a mechanics stethiscope. Man, it really comes in handy for diagnosing internal noises. You'd probably be able to pinpoint the location of the noise before assuming anything and doing a costly teardown.

loose exhaust?
my exhaust fell off a hanger before and rattled at idle/ low revs. no harm in checking that. i could have swore it was coming from the bay, but it just vibrated throught the system.
