97 ITR cams w/ 99SI b16 stock valvetrain

If you plan to leave the rev limiter stock, you will be fine. If you are increasing the rev limiter then you SHOULD get at least ITR springs.

I didn't even take out the head when i replaced the valve train with the ITR. Actually, i didn't even change the valves, only the valve springs, and retainers. Theres a tool you can use with out having to take the head off, trying searching for it. Reving pass 8000RPM with ITR cams will give you better HP and Tq gains.

the exhaust side is most vulnerable since there are only single springs. I reccomend getting some portflow inners x16 if thats all the cam you are
going to run. $80 for a set last I looked. the tool to put them in while on the
car will run you about the same. be sure you have some extra keepers!
