Default AEM/Injen

Does the Injen come in aluminum like the AEM? Does it make more midrange than the AEM? Does it have better clearance? Does it sound the same as the AEM?

I refer to the CAI's.

Thanks,
Jon

I believe the Injen is chrome maybe?

Both CAIs are the exact same design. I wouldn't expect any appreciable differences between to two of them in performance.

I don't remember when it was posted, but I do remember a debate between both of these intakes, and the AEM did come out on top, over the Injen.... AEM

Injen = polished Aluminum. One advantage that I have found for the Injen is that a 2 piece version is still available, so that you can run it as a short ram in the winter/rainy season.

The Injen has nicer welds, better bends, and the dyno curves are almost the same...Injen will have about 1 more peak hp

Thanks for the replies....

sheesh Austin, I can't believe this **** happened to me, all because of some other moron. Hows your R running?

Well, did the Injen make less on the bottom or mid then the AEM did?

Thanks,
Jon

Car's running pretty good...should be getting the HyTech back on the car tomorrow.

Injen/AEM, buy whichever you like...no real difference, Injen has ~1whp peak over the AEM...no difference other than that.

Thanks for the pic...

Austin.. why did you take the header off.... if I am mainly planning to drag/streetfun right now.. do you think the hytech would be a waste of money, i mean, because drag seems to just be about the peak power (6k+ RPMs).. hense slipping/dropping the clutch pretty high.

Jon...I sold the Comptech exhaust that I had to help pay for the HyTech exhaust...just getting the exhaust rather soon. Personally I don't think that it's a waste, but that's me. Next time that you're up here I'll have to give you a ride so that you understand.
