Default Top Dead Center

Top dead center is when the piston 1 is all the way up and the cam gears have the arrows pointing up. I am still running rough. I have checked all the vaccum lines and the wqater lines. the only thing that MIGHT be a problem is the fact the Black water pipe on the back of the block leaks at the water pump. i cant seem to seal it either....

but the engine is spitting and sputtering and revving from 1500-2500 randomly. and the CEL is throwing soft codes. which appear and disappear before i can check them. so i am not sure what is wrong with my motor.
