Default Q about J's racing exhaust

ok I've had the J's 70 RR for about a month ...since this exhaust is a header back system there is no -place to put the o2 sensor...so of course my car has CEL...at first it really didn't bother me that it was on , bc i KNEW the reason why CEL was on . but now i want it off..i asked a salesperson at bulletproof automotive and he stated that i would have to drill a hole into the exhaust, (not a big fan of drilling into a 1300$ exhaust) and install a anti foul plug..or something of that nature..anyway does anyone have any other suggestion as to what i could do besides drilling into the exhaust ...

Thanks

Either drill and get rid of the CEL, or buy a J's 70mm RS instead, and get a test pipe.

As far as I know, the only difference is that one is a catback the other is a headerback.

lol, you guys are telling him to sell his exhaust and buy an RS or drill a hole.

all you need is an O2 simulator box

it tricks the car into thinking you have a cat

about 50 bucks, wires right in

done

also, if you DO drill, it's not that big of a deal

unclip the o2 sensor from the car and get some EMS and tuning and find a guy in NJ to pass inspection by giving you a sticker.

70rs? I thought they only made the...

70rr (header back)
60rs (cat back)

and the dual versions also.

that will work also, and is probably the most cost friendly option.

Nah, they have a single 70mm catback now.

Actually come to think of it, it might be called the FX. It's the new series of exhausts that J's makes that are identical to the previous versions.

not quite...

the 70RR FX is the new headerback, only the tip is blue or polished

the 70RS is resonated and isnt a headerback, the tip is darker blue and also has a ring of blue around the end of muffler. You can tell the difference from outside the car between the RS and the RR

RS is quieter as well

Francesco, so your say that an EMS with tunning will eliminate the CEL?

Also with me running the car with the CEL on is that hindering any of the car performance , or damaging anything ?

Its a standalone ecu, so you should be able to eliminate all CEL's.

Is this bad, to a point. If something was wrong with you car and a CEL didnt come on, I think you get the point.
