Default 90-91 crx si cluster swap to my 89 crx si... need wiring pin out or diagram.

well i went to the junkyard today, just to look around and see what they have. well i came to this crx si which was an 1991 and it had a cluster saying only 80,000 miles on it and i knew i have to have that cluster in my car. it looks better than my 89 cluster. Anyway i got all the plugs for the cluster, hazard switch and plug and dimmer as well. i also got the steering colum cover too and the 90-91 style cluster bezel. So i want to wire all those stuff in. how would i be doing this? a diagram would be nice!

all the wires are the same color for the same function on the both clusters .. for instance red with green stripe might be at a4 on the 89 cluster but wll be at b7 on the 91 cluster and that wire will have the same function.. heres a link to show you the wire color ,position, and function... hope this helpshttp://b16a.honda-perf.org/cluster.html

yea that is for the sir cluster but down the side of that is the si and hf ..all the wires are the same color..since i have a 89 si and put in the 90/91 jdm cluster in im having the same problem with the dimmer and the hazard.. if i get a chance tomorrow i will see if the 90 dimmer/hazzard uses the same plug as the 88/89...because of the diffrent locations on the dash's if the plugs do fit they might sill need to be extended to make them work

alright i got the cluster pinout down, i think. i also understand what i will have to do to the dimmer switch too, so i got that part. all i need to know is abt the hazard switch and defrost switch. that all i need to know and does the wire have the same color for the def switch. if they do can i just extend them and match it?

i think that if every other wire is same that the defroster/dimmer and hazzard should be but allways the chance of the plugs that go into them will b diffrent

i think it might be easier for u if u just use the under dash/cluster wiring from a 90-91 crx then everything would plug right in as long as u get all the right parts like the hazaard button n all that stuff.
