Default should i install act cluth into my stock NA soch vtec?

my clutch is wearing out and im planning to get new ones. i hear that ACT will last longer than OEM clutches and perform a lot better. my question is will ACT be too agressive for a daily driven car with just intake and exhaust?...thanks...any words of wisdom are welcome.

A LONG time ago I had just the basics done to my LS and had an ACT 6 puck clutch and it was a pain to drive daily but I got used to it. The longevity of the clutch also matters on how you drive. I love my Exedy Stage 1 clutch.

It'll depend alot on what kind of ACT clutch you are looking at.

Sounds like you need the ACT street disk and pressure plate.

I have the street disk and extreme pressure plate on my race car (solo2) and it would be streetable.

The extreme pressure plate is more than i would like on my DD (harder to push in. But some would say im a *****.

you dont "need" anything more than the street.

I have an Exedy 3 puck (stage 2) cerametallic "thin". At first it was horrible on the street, very heavy (cable clutch EF) and would chatter like the dickens. As time wore on it got a bit lighter and 90% of the chattering is gone. I bought an Exedy stage 1 organic but never installed it--although I hear they are much easier to manage and can hold 200 hp/150 lb-ft.

I would get the most driveable clutch that can handle the power.

The first thing I did to my Y7 was an Action 1MS (sprung 6-puck), and Fidanza flywheel. Now running the 1MD (unsprung 6-puck). Only engine mods ATM is an SMSP header and SMSP exhaust.

Once I got use to it (about 3 days) it felt like stock driving every day. Grabs hard as hell. No chatter. Really hard pedal (I also have the Omnipower clutch master cylinder), but I don't notice it unless I've been driving a different stick car than mine for a day. ATM = thats all I have done to it ATM.

I believe I had 300 in my whole setup and that was with a 7.5lb xact (steel) flywheel.

just get a xtd stage 3.
that will work just fine and its cheap as hell.
you could also get a lightweight flywheel at the same and still save money

I have an exedy stage 1 from ebay 80 bucks. It held 8 psi no problem, just as easy to drive as stock.

On my HPDE car i have an act street disc, with heavy duty pressure plate. I love it, stiffer pressure plate, but it grips awesome. That help 15 psi all last summer, will be NA this summer, but i have it out right now, and after 4 track days and street use, there are zero marks on my fly wheel. I have personaly never experienced this, it looks brand new. from me.
