Default 92 CX with 96 LS.....

Got a friend with a 92 CX with a 96 LS motor in it. He is using the CX harness that he modified to work with the motor. The motor is running with a 92 DX ECM. He modified the harness to work with the injectors on the LS motor. The car runs but when you drive it, it stumbles at 2700 and will not go any higher. Do you think it could be the injectors that are causing the ECM to go into open loop? Any other ideas? TIA.

all your friend had to do was plug the 96 engine harness into the civic plugs on the passenger side tower like this...

well...something like that happend to my brothers car...it didn't let him go over 3500 rpm....the reason was that the distributor was messed up or some thing...and they changed a new one and it worked...and for a 99-00 si OBD2 into an obd1 wiring..you have to rewire the engine harness.

Could be because of the distributor. It's common for Honda distributors to go bad, usually because of the ignitor. Swap the distributor out before doing anything too drastic.

Why the hell do people always think it is such a major thing? It's all plug and play. Just get an OBDI P74 or P75 LS ECU and you're set!!!!!!
