Default Alternator or Battery?

lately my sound system has a static noise that gets louder or worse as my RPMS go up, it goes with the flow of my engine speed, then my battery light turns on and my idle goes up and down (1k- 1.3k), but when i hit the gas and RPMs are above 3k the noise is gone and the battery light is gone

Sounds like your battery is weak. Check your battery voltage by touching the terminals with a voltmeter. You should have about 12 volts. You can test your alternator by touching the battery terminals with a voltmeter while the car is running. You should have about 14 volts at the battery with the car running.

Check your grounds for amp and H/U.

Wrong section also... Try the Audio/Security section.
