Where to mount 4pt. harness?
I need to put a 4pt. harness in my 89 hatch and I know it's not the greatest idea to do it without a roll bar, but i dont have the money to put one in.
I want some ideas of what people have done to mount 4pt. harnesses in their hatches.
My car is only for auto-xing if that makes any difference to anyone.

c-pillar bars are not safe for mounting a harness to, you will need to get some sort of harness bar for the B pillar or get the rollbar with the harness bar attached, and btw 4 points arent as safe as your regular seat belts are. So get a 5 point or stay stock

dont bother mounting them untill you get a roll bar. your stock belts get you through tech and you have no real need for a harness in auto-x other than keeping you in the seat(unless you like to hit light poles
)
once you get a roll bar,
mount them no more than 12" behind you, no more than 15* down from the tops of your shoulders and the end of the shoulder straps should angle in where they mount.

The sub belt keeps you from going under and causing serious damage. Also the three point is better than a 4 point because the lap belt stays in place and the chest belt gives a little and then locks to make your body fold at the waist and basically creates a V shape, that V shape keeps you in place and keeps you from sliding under the lap belt.
