Default GoFastTshirts Company car Build Log

Car: 1991 Honda Crx Si
Owner: John C

History:
My first Crx just needed to much work and i happend to find another one for $1000.00 that was mint. I had it shipped to me from TN to NY. My plans were to daily drive a clean crx but i can never just leave things alone lol.

Goal:
10 Sec Daily Driver with some Jdm Flavor

For sale ad Pics from the guy i bought it from in TN, i seen the pics and told him i will take it 1 day after he posted it for sale

Finally after waiting a month and a half and going through 2 different shipping companies i finally got my tenesee CRX it was so dirty when i picked it up in jersey so i gave it a nice bath and it cleaned up nice. Added a few things like clear lights and some jdm tyte stickers lol. I also attempted to install tein ss suspension on my crx but it did not work out. Thats why the car is jacked up. apparantly there is a difference with tein ss suspension that comes with pillowball mounts and ones that you later add pillow ball mounts to because i had some issues. later Omni power suspension was installed. also removed the pinstripe

I also installed S2000 leather seats. The seats were really nice but they were just to tall and narrow for me, so i sold them soon after.

more s2000 seat pics

The stock motor in the car was in decent shape but was not enough power so i picked up a b16a motor and tranny from a guy in albany, he also threw in a ton of extra parts !! took me awhile to get the $ to get it installed.

Installed Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion full cat back exhaust. This exhaust was super quiet when i first got it, comparable to stock unless in vtec. As it broke in it got louder but not too loud. Sounds deep and mean especially under hard acceleration !!

Added Bronze Rota Grids and an OEM Honda Bra (still sitting on OEM Suspension)

Added JDM Taillights

Removed S2000 Seats and reinstalled stock passenger seat and a new Recaro Driver seat

Added C&R Radiator an optima red top battery

Added Momo Competition steering wheel and Momo Hub, Shift **** and autometer shift lite on the dash

Preppin motor for catch can before it goes in

Stock motor removed and b16a installed, and jk tuning traction bar. The oil bottle in my engine bay is a temp catch can untill i have one fabricated.

Added legit sir DOHC Vtec Decals

Added SIR Wing From Japan

So many things went wrong nothing major just a lot of headaches.
Rented a tow dolly from uhaul but the car was too low to get on it had to have it flat bedded, good thing my neighbor owns one

Thermostat got stuck open had to replace

Bought an OBD1 conversion and it was ****, I bought it from lo cash racing. The wiring was such **** i incurred over 200.00 in labor charges trying to fix wiring problems. to them.

Bought a brand new distributor from auto zone that was junk had to replace ignitor and coil before we were able to get it tuned.

When my car was flat bedded the tow truck guys ripped my inner axle boots causing axle grease to fly all over the dyno and my car

Auto zone sold me the wrong cap for the dizzy

lol, i feel like im the only one this crap happens to but lets get the the good stuff...

The car put down nice numbers 324.94 uncorrected whp with a conservative tune. The car is out of control fast i love it. the 2 step is fun and the blow off is so loud i scared the **** out of some people driving home. Im running 10.8 lbs and im tuned with Hondata S300.

you got that for 1000?? that sounds like the deal of the century, you could probably flip it for several grand it looks mint. however i must add the stickers and the driver's badge are taking away from the cleanliness of the car.

Holy bejeezis stickers batman... Its like you bought a clean CRX just to put stickers on it. I love the cat but honestly the stickers gotta go. Like they said they are a magnet for theives. You should try and hide the shift light in the center vent..

that paint looks damn clean. I would save the paint money and put it towards a cage or makin that motor run 10's. I know around here if ur below 12's you have to be caged, but cages in a daily driver = danger to head. whatever, ur car but i must say, I like it alot!! (when picturing it without the stickers)

the paint is clean but the last owner had some cheap respray job and sprayed all the plastics as well and on some areas in the front it is flaking and you can see the plastic underneath. hard to tell but still bothers me
